New Zealand Schools’ Debating

Wellington Diocesan School for Girls (Nga Tawa) has won the Central North Island Regional Schools Debating Championships for the first time. For a full report, please click here.

The 39th ‘The Press’ Canterbury Secondary School Debating Championships were held on the weekend of 19/20 May.  St Margaret’s College won the competition for the first time since 1990, for a full report click here.

The Russell McVeagh Wellington Regional Schools’ Debating Championships were held at Samuel Marsden Collegiate School over the weekend of 12/13 May with Scots College successfully defending the title they won in 2006. Click here for a full report.

The Auckland regional championships, the largest in the country, were held on 12/13 May at Baradene College.  After a weekend of high quality debating and a spirited final St Kentigern College emerged as the 2007 Auckland Champions.  For a full report please click here.
