The New Zealand Schools British Parliamentary Debating Championships is back for 2020! This tournament is a chance for secondary school students in New Zealand to debate a new and fun style of debating. British Parliamentary style or “BP” involves teams of 2 competing in debates with 4 teams (two teams on the affirmative and two on the negative). The tournament will be held online over the weekend of 5/6 December. More information about the style will be sent out to schools and posted here when sign ups open.
Applications to serve as a Chief or Deputy Chief Adjudicator are now open! If you would like to apply to serve on the NZSBPC’s adjcore then please send a debating CV to [email protected] by 10pm Wednesday 7 October. The application will be considered by the non-conflicted New Zealand Schools Debating Council members.
