On Sunday the 4th of August, NZSDC ran Originair Kahurangi-Marlborough Impromptu Cup! Students debated on a wide range of topics, from education, to the Olympics, to parenting. Even more impressively, they did it with only 5 minutes to prepare before the debate started!
We’d like to congratulate Garin College Junior Maroon (Jack Hall, Matthaeus Kwan) for winning the Junior Final in a tightly fought debate against Garin College Junior Bronze (Petra Cogger, Paige Butler). In the Senior Final, we’d like to congratulate Nayland College Senior A (Annabel Batt, Stella Bloomfield), who won against Waimea College Senior Green (Riley Nicholls, Lee Purdie, Kayla White).
